Landscape Memory 25
This is actually one half of a two page landscape sketch, but I feel that this left page side of the sketch works pretty well in itself. With all these long drives we’ve had in Scotland as a family, with me in the front passenger seat, sometimes my view on the left would be these beautiful tree-lined hills and mountains (probably somewhere in the Perthshire/Highlands regions). The sheer height of some of these never fails to make me feel humble. I normally take a book to read in the car but very rarely read it as there’s just too much to see and absorb out there. If you look carefully, you’ll be able to find that tiny dark silhouette in the little clearing.
