Landscape Memory 1

This sketch and others I will be sharing are based on memories of places, such as the hills that surround my home, or the landscapes of Perthshire, the Scottish Highlands and Orkney, and the Lake District. My sketches are about recalling a sense of place and time, rather than topographical accuracy. It is also about experimenting with mark-making, mixed media, layering, textured surfaces, altered edges and abstraction.
